Robert,
An opportunity just arrived via the following web site,
Josh Wright, egroups's GoldWorldNet Moderator egroups.com
that if indeed this company's latest news releases are true and accurate in that this company now has available to it an ability to bring physical metals of worth to the market place, then let us on this thread track and identify the real status of what this company is presently doing so that a valid determination can be made that will present enough information that a decision of buy/hold/sell can be made.
Above was toooo wordy, and really I meant to say that this company got the initial attention of two of SI's best and most respective precious metals members via egroups.com, so lets hope that enough good and real stuff exists so that these two guys can get interested and see value here.
My tour of these metals threads may be short in time, but long enough to know that Great News for many companies have more often than not ended up fall short of expected results, so Proof in the Pudding i have no idea what that means except that hopefully when the thumb is pulled out of the Phoenix Pie a gold nugget is attached rather than a lemon.
But then a lemon stuck around an investors thumb, relativity speaking, is better than that thumb which remains inside the pudding when the hand is removed because a piranha fish ate it for lunch a.k.a. Ch 11 or reverse split.

Does anyone have any input on Golden Phoenix Minerals (GPXM)?
They recently purchased Mineral Ridge for a substantial discount.
My question is what makes this company think they will be able to work this mine profitably where a host of others could not. golden-phoenix.com
Yes, I own some...

I checked them once and saw no reasons to own them at the time.
But maybe things have changed now...

If nothing else, it will give them an opportunity to get some operational experience in mining up to 200,000 ounces, but definitely will not make them rich.
I recall Mineral Ridge from the old Cornucopia days and they did a decent job promoting Mary-Drinkwater on the Gold Show circuit, but not a great job actually mining it.
Almost forget that it passed on to Vista Gold before they went Chapter 11.
It is located in an interesting place in Nevada with lots of history, but it isn't on the Battle Mountain or Carlin Trends. I have driven much of the area and there are some GREAT ghost towns out there. I am a "goldbug" when it comes to history - I love ghost towns and the stories of some of the crazy things folks have done in their quest for precious metals.
The history is well worth a read: golden-phoenix.com
