A question for all the professed Christians here:

Without quoting exactly the pertinent part of the Bible: When the Isrealites went into the land of Canaan, God told them to slay them all, man, woman, child, beast of the field. [He did tell them to spare virgins for their particular utilitarian value.] Now what if God comes around and orders you to do this again? [To any particular population on earth.] Are you going to do that? Are you going to murder children in their cribs, mothers with babes, two year olds just learning to walk and so on?
I think this is a valid question, in terms of God's existence it was not even a heart beat ago he ordered just that.
