Bluetooth would not be acceptable for any video unless it was highly compressed but compression technology has made significant gains.

It may be simpler to integrate a miniature CDMA subscriber unit right into the headset. The MSM5200, available 2001, supports MPEG-4 streaming video. The maximum data rate is 384 kbps. Batteries are still getting smaller and electronics and displays more efficient. It just always takes longer than expected for these technologies to mature and hit a price point that allows mass adoption. I don't anticipate movie quality streaming video over bluetooth.
