Ted, I don't discount the possibility to anything that you wrote. Well-written and good thinking.

However, I think you left out a very sizeable aftermath possibility of this election. That the freedom of information act opens up the count and it becomes common knowledge that Gore got more votes in Florida. Couple that to the brother-Bush/Harris actions, and, again, I submit they'll be boatloads of Republicans looking for other political parties. This, plus Bush will become disgraced.

Importantly, I think you're also leaving out the things we're really gonna learn about George W. Bush now that he can't deflect the press anymore.

From this day on, I'll only be able to consider a Bush Administration as an awkward one.

If Bush is the real winner, I would have preferred he'd become the winner after Gore's request for a hand recount was honored. Fact is, it wasn't.
