the guitar work is unsurpassed.
I was a picker for a while. Of the players, Goodman is a middlin' capable hand. I'll rate all the following as way more accomplished, in no particular order: Ry Cooder, Eric Clapton, Keith Richards, Andre Segovia, John Fahey, Leo Kottke, Chet Atkins.
Not to denigrates Steve's talent and heart. Just to suggest that I know a thing or two about technique and there are some exquisite accomplishments that we all are happy were created and recorded. :)
