Pretty much how we spent some of the day here in Seattle...Never have participated in any type of demonstration or Marching Rally before...Figured it's just about time! Actually was pretty exciting, and I'm sure pretty odd, for many of the Seattle Liberal group to see an ORDERLY, large 2 block long group of 500-600 Repubs of all sizes, shapes, colors, ethnic groups, ages, and some Dems who voted for Gore and are now sorry...All were carrying signs, Flags, and some had strollers with little ones in them....Had a great group of Seattle policemen who escorted this group through the streets of Seattle....and most of us said Thanks to them...! Definitely a different group than the WTO thugs and their friends...

I've given a couple of links below...click on any city, and you will see that FINALLY some of us are willing to stand up and be counted... I think personally we should have a symbol....How about a "Chair"...would symbolize that we are finally getting so fed up that we are getting off our duff and out of the chair...making signs and talking....

Probably the first item of business nationally is to see just what exactly the requirements are for voting and voting registration....I too believe at the very least, one should be a citizen, naturalized or born here, in order to vote. And a birth certificate, passport, etc should be used for that proof....Our employers must have an I-9 on every employee....I can't imagine that we as citizens who pay the bills of the government through our taxes should require less ....
