>>> they were saying that the statute that says "certify after 7 days" >>>
Thanks for a great summary of events and ideas.
Was there anyone (except an attorney) who could have read that law or statute as permitting endless recounts and extensions after the 14th of Nov.?
Having been given an extra 12 days to do a manual recount
it was still not completed.
If one still wonders just how much time is required
to do a manual recount, just give Mr Gore one more chance and it would be completed in hours, not days,
even if the National Guard was needed to be called in to do it as someone suggested.
There will always be a cloud over this election, since there would remain hundreds of thousands of 'uncounted' votes in other Republican precincts even if the Gore team manages to mine another 538 votes from selected Democratic
precincts.
In that case and being only one vote behind, Mr Bush
could contest the result and be told, well sorry, you are out of time because its now December 12 and you are REALLY out of time. Democrats could say, "Why don't you appeal to the USSP and get the law changed in the same manner we appealed to the FSP hahahahahahahahahaha TS"

Looking forward to another day in the life of Judge Saul
