George Soros is on TV now on C-SPAN II giving a speech to the Council on Foreign Relations about the world economy. He thinks that the current account deficit is "chronic" and could cause a global financial crisis similar to the Asian crisis if the US has a hard landing - which he goes on to say he expects.
