Dec. 2, 2000, COMPLETE CNC NEWS ,REVIEW AND COMMENTARY
This will probably be my last or one of my last posts on CNC.
The reason is that I have sold come of my CNC , and CNC no longer represents
100% of my portfolio as it did prior to 10 days ago.
The reason I sold CNC is because
the current NASDAQ decline represents a unique opportunity
to buy stocks at SIGNIFICANTLY greater discount that CNC:

I will thus initiate my primary method of investing which involves
a significant amount of day trading. That requires stocks that
have a very high beta/ intraday fluctuation of price and volume,
which CNC does not have.
I am still long on a very large amount of CNC shares and will continue to hold
on to that long term to balance my daytrading , high beta portfolio
with a reliable long term investment which is what I think CNC represents.
Intense daytrading will not give me enough time to post and do the kind of research
to keep up with CNC. I think that that kind of work is being done
by Gary Wendt who I fully trust to produce an amazing turn around of CNC.
I think that from these levels CNC may at least triple in the next 12 months.
CNC ay $50, one day, is quite possible.

I think CNC will saty at ~$7 as a base because of the low volume.
I think longs are entrenched and from here will rise
at some time with a short squeeze.

I believe that we will have a Santa rally. We will probably go to 2900 and
come back down.
We may go as far down as 2250 . After that, with Bush as president,
Nasdaq is headed to back to 5000, 6000 etc.

CNC gets debt upgrade

Conseco (CNC: news, msgs) is jumping $1.50, or 21.6 percent, to $8.44, after
A.M. Best raised the debt rating on the Carmel, Ind., financial services firm's
insurance units to 'A-' from 'B++' and removed them from 'under review' status.
Michael Sheldon, an analyst with Spencer Clarke LLC, said this event represents a significant strategic positive for the company. "This reassures investors that
management is taking the right steps to make the company competitive and
profitable in the marketplace," said Sheldon, who has a "hold" rating on Conseco
with a price range target of $10 to $15. "I believe the stock could move several
dollars higher in the next few months as investors come to terms with this news."
