<-Daryl-- I'm curious about your opinion of the republicans suing for a hand-count of ballots in New Mexico? I think they are entitled to determine if the election was accurate since we know that hand-counting is the most valid procedure for determining the election. fred->

Fred,

In theory, I agree with you. The problem is that there is no PREAGREED UPON standard for doing the handjob. Too many democrats holding ballots up to the light bothers me. THAT is my objection to the handjob.

I suspect Bush is worried about the Gore-goes-nuclear scenario where Bush gets Florida and Gore trys to switch two electors. With another state, it makes this tougher.

This won't be over until AT LEAST AFTER the electoral college votes.
