Definitely not. They would be equal if your system was able to balance the load perfectly, but that would be as unlikely as a whole pot of popcorn kernels exploding at once and flattening the house.

One processor would shoulder the majority of the work, passing tasks to the second when the workload warranted it. So many tasks would NOT lend themselves to a second processor, you'd be limited by the speed of the one doing the work. This would limit the overall performance of your system to the speed of the processor setting the pace. Additional processors won't make the work go faster if they spend most of their time idle.

If it takes a woman nine months to produce a baby, don't expect a birth in three months by cooperation among three women.
