Eagle, I would go to 'mouse properties' [there might be an icon in your system tray. Otherwise look under programs.]
After clicking 'mouse properties' I get several tabbed pages. I would check settings in the 'motion' page. You can select 'cursor trails' temporarily. Makes it easier to see the mouse pointer. Maybe 'smart move' is checked? Try unchecking it.
