I will tell you that even though I voted for Gore, Boise did something today that was totally out of the gutter.

As a last ditch effort to attack the credibility and integrity of Marais, he tried to accuse Marais of doing a statistical analysis that concluded that lead based paint was not harmful to children.

In reality, Marais did a tangential analysis only with respect to the methodology for allocating liability to various paint manufacturers and his analysis had absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with the detrimental effects of lead on children.

My question is this, naive though it may sound: Does Marais have a cause for action against Boies for defamation of character/slander?

That desperate attempt by Boies was totally gutless and beyond the pale, besides being false.

This is the greatest trial lawyer in the world???
