The best thing would be if the electoral votes are completely thrown out. Then Speaker of the House becomes President. If he doesn't want the job or is ill then it goes to Senate Pro Tempre. That position is occupied by 95+ year old Strom Thurmond. Unlike Gore/Bush, Thurmond has been in politics since the late 1930s and has made decisions during the Great Depression, WWII, Korean War, Vietnam, 1970s stagflation, Iran Contra, Persian Gulf War, Clinton Impeachment. If we are going to have an economic blowout we need someone up there with experience and the gut to take care of things.
