The C/E products are in significant numbers (I have been given an indication of the number, and it is staggering)
on backlog. People want these products without a rebate -- even paying a premium in many cases.

Jesus Christ!! Just because the iPaq is selling well, it's absolutely wrong to assume all CE devices are selling well. I am sure that Casio and HP would like to take your point of view, but they have to face the reality most of the time.
