Yes I am a partisan. Nevertheless, your comment about a republican and a democratic observer is STILL misleading. There were MANY ballots that the republican "observed" as being merely dimpled, pregnant or pimples. Just because they were "observed" does not mean he has the right to throw that ballot out. And even if the republican observer DOES agree that UNDER THE RULES that the canvassing board established the vote is a Gore vote, the bottom line real issue here is HOW DO THOSE RULES COME TO BE? It would seem to me that they should use the same rules as used in the past...if they want to change those rules it should be ONLY FOR FUTURE ELECTIONS.

So that is the real issue. A handjob in theory is fine but not when there will be shenanagins of dimpled, pimpled or pregnant ballots counting as votes.
