Ray & CMB, excuse me for butting in. I have a question for Ray, actual several, but I am going to limit it to 1 for right now. Ray, your comments concerning the future of SONET got me thinking. I went to the AMCC site to try and determine what % fo their revenue came from SONET related sales and could not make a determination. So my question for you is do you know what the % is? I tend to agree with you that the use of SONET for the long haul backbone and even SONET to business/office buildings is on the decline. However, it appears still to be very much alive for residential last mile. I am drawing these conclusions from this article - I like it because they draw pictures and I don't have to read <g>. lightreading.com Scroll down and click on the links. Finally, if you are right, I have to believe that AMCC is also aware of this trend and taking the appropriate steps to migrate to the next technology. Certainly, their website lists product offerings in the ATM and WDM/IP product categories. Again, I would like to know the revenue distribution and growth rates. OT Ray I think we have several things in common in that I lived in Eugene around the same time you did - early 70's et puis, je parle le Francais aussi. But I don't write it very well. Comes from living 10 years in Geneva and having French only speaking girl friends - but that is another story.
