If memory serves, I believe that the average item last year was around $20, and they did 20 million items during the holiday period (Nov 2 - Dec 21st). The average selling price has surely increase this year because of the move toward higher end items (e.g. TV sets). Also, last year gift wrapping was free...this year it's $3 extra per item.



Actually, if their mix is fitting the typical consumer buying habits this season, the average ticket price is lower. Yup a fee for wrapping but none in many cases for shipping.

If I were you, I would buy calls. Tons of them;-)
