I'm not convinced that one should study martial arts to be a good trader. However, meditation in any form, yoga, transcendental, martial arts or any kind of relaxation and focusing technique can be beneficial. Although not specifically for trading, I use meditation on a daily basis and have been sudying martial arts for over 10 years (Yoshinkan Aikido 1st Dan). Has meditation helped me to be a better trader? Perhaps. Difficult to know. But it has helped me to focus my attention, quiet my thoughts, remain calm, equalize my mood swings and many more. I believe these to be helpful.

Regards,
Nick
