HONG KONG, Dec 4 (Reuters) - Wireless technology firm Qualcomm Inc (NasdaqNM:QCOM - news) said on Monday it has signed a memorandum of understanding with China's Ministry of Information Industry to deploy its CDMA mobile phone technology in China.

The MOU confirms an agreement that Qualcomm signed in January with state-controlled cellular carrier China Unicom to use Qualcomm's current generation CDMA technology.
