From the back,I put attendance at approx. 110(15 rows of 7-8 people).
Random Notes on Business model:
*Emphasis on proprietary data base and software.
*Determination to stay an information provider(leaving risk of development and marketing to customers, partners)
*Staggered project calendar for revenue stream.
*Building unique genetic data base(vertical) that will
become a necessity to pharm. co.s
*Acting as "node" for development of drug projects.
*Establishing its data base as the first platform for development of individualized diagnostics and medicines.
*Affordable diagnostic products(test kits) for M.D.s(1st sale) that will later require analysis(2nd sale).
*Understanding of dangers in excessive start costs and burn rate(burn given as $90,000 per mo.)

Research and Development notes:
*Statin(cholesterol and cardiovascular drug group)research
could allow this group of drugs to grow to a "prophylactic"(preventative)usage, expanding its usage 10 X(?). This is an example that the speaker claims could be mirrored in any number of drug categories.
*Reliable base of knowledge would make genetic testing
standard procedure before taking any potentially harmful
drug.a.)Elimination of "hit or miss" prescribing and b.)steering patients away from drugs that will present dangerous side effects for them(For them,individually. Not the general population).
*Vertical profiles on specific genes over huge populations
would lead to a better understanding of the differences and
mutations on those specific genes.

Miscellaneous notes:
*Market has not understood the importance of previous news,

Other observations:
*presenter wearing tie:yes.
*balloons present:yes.
*C.E.O. handshake: firmness:buy ; dryness:strong-buy
*Lighting made slide presentation difficult to follow. Bus
and truck traffic timed itself perfectly to drown out the
ends of climatic statements and most numbers mentioned.
*Raging Bull attendees appeared "scruffy"; some with cheese
in their beards. Silicon attendees tended to wear tasseled
loafers with matching belts and had large adam's apples.
