Betty/Bob:

Glad I can entertain you. The fecal comparison was inspired by the description of a night carrier landing in extremely rough seas about 15 years ago. I use the analogy sparingly, and it still evokes the occasional giggle and sometimes even a profit on the short side (not to mention a light sweat at the memory).

VVUS' chart looks a bit better, as if it's found some equilibrium around 33-35. Earnings surprises, either up or down, will drive the stock price now. I'm still short on the stock, having already made some 20 points on the downside and now waiting for Q2 developments to be announced. Seems as though almost everyone on this thread has had his say and is awaiting any news to pick up the discussion again. The easy money has been made, and I have gained new respect for technical analysis. I guess the stock split is the next big attraction; evidently the shareholders' meeting was a nonevent.

Now go buy a stock that has some appreciation potential!
