If the average Maxtor drive has gone up $2 or $3 in price. Multiply by 6.5 m drives, that's $13 m to $20 m. Last Q they lost $14 m. So If the current prices continue, they should make a few pennies of profit. Especially if they manage to reduce costs.

However, just as the price increases took a long time to show up in your survey, there might be price decreases at the OEM that have yet to migrate to the retail level.
