This whole line of reasoning that QCOM will invite other companies to invest in SpinCo baffles me. What would be the purpose of letting TXN invest in SpinCo? Why would QCOM give NOK or MOT an unnatural advantage over other handset developers that have been long time QCOM loyalists like Samsung? If I were TXN, it would be an amazing opportunity to obtain access to QCOM's technology for 3G. If I were QCOM, why would I want to share secrets with the competition?
