>>>I just want to say that even with a 20,000 vote margin estimated for Gore early on, they might not have called it so early. I'm not sure they foresaw a figure that low when they called it. Wha'd'ya think?<<<

I think when you wipe out tens of thousands of Florida's votes, and those tens of thousands of individuals came out of the polls claiming they voted for Gore, that the network exit polling was correct.

Add it up:

1) The huge undervote statewide.
2) The 22,000 Gore-Buchanon votes in Palm Beach
3) Blacks denied voting rights
4) Absentee ballot hanky-panky.

Flawed election? You bet! Did Bush win? Doubtful!!!

What happened to the black vote in Florida is a stain in modern American society! Originally--go back and check--the GOPwingers on this thread were complaining about Duval County when the Palm Beach County controversy erupted. What those GOPwingers failed to disclose is that the bulk of voters in Duval county are black.
