Tandem biking is a very California thing. I'd imagine Rambi would be thrilled at the prospect of 45 miles or so, crossing a 1000' pass on a windy two lane road frequented by high speed sports cars and crazies on road bikes. The return route would likely have the added advantage of a tailwind.

Sal may disqualify as an aberrant behavior but Drygulch will undoubtedly be lurking somewhere nearby, probably panning the more promising sand dunes.

This will certainly be a bit weird, perhaps someone should bring a laptop with a wireless modem for recording activities real time ? Course then everyone would want to log into SI so as not to miss out and end up struggling over which thread to look at next.
