[Spreadsheets] I could do all of the above with pencil and paper. But it would take one heck of a lot more time and require that I store huge amounts of paper.
And erasers to fix the inevitable mistakes that occur when one calculates by hand. Also, once some data is entered and/or calculated in Excel, it can be graphed in seconds. There are scores of graph types and variations available.
