AMD press conference in Dresden (some news): techannel.de Summary: - all "milestones" for 2000 already reached (one month early) - 2001: year of mass production, speed and innovation - 1.5 GHz in 2nd quarter for PCs, notebooks, workstations and servers - transition from 0.18 to 0.13 micron and SOI in 2001 - hammers with SOI and 2 GHz in 1st quarter 2002 - clean room expansion by 2300m^2 finished in April 2001 - currently 1,400 employees (400 more than last year) Andreas
