Thanks, now I've got it. It's pretty unclear what the U.S. Supes actually intend, though, or how this will play out in the next 7-8 days. Is there time for the FL Stupes to reconvene all the players and rerun their "trial"? Is this permission for Katherine Harris to recertify based on the earlier, higher numbers for Bush? It's a little like, "go to your room, Johnny, and think about what you've done."

If Judge Sauls rules against Al, then he'll appeal to the FL Stupes as well. They're going to be overwhelmed trying to get out of this mess (if they had only followed good old Kodiak's suggestion and upheld the Sec'y of State's original discretion . . .)

Al will make his [dis]graceful exit no later than Friday, imho, subject, of course, to various bolts of lightning coming from who knows where.
