"Assuming Bush gets to claim the presidency, it is becoming all too clear (and some commentators are starting to pick up on this) that the vote count will eventually clearly have elected Gore had the voting been properly supervised for invalid votes, and outright voter discrimination against minorities not taken place. The misdirected votes of blacks who were mislead on their ballots and then denied the right to revote when they asked to are alone enough to have swung the election."

Scuse me??? Misdirected?? Misled??? Denied???? I can certainly see what you're talking about. When a voter approaches the ballot booth and the machine sees the person after evaluating the person to be an african american, the machine THEN makes the decision that it won't accept his vote ( or maybe just makes it look like a dimpled chad)therefore eliminating any possibilty that the african american community can have a fair and non-discriminating chance to vote.

" the disruption caused by a Bush presidency with an eventual clear majority in Florida for Gore will be disastrous. There may be calls for new elections or even impeachment, if it turns out that the Republicans had anything at all to do with discouraging voter participation, especially in minority communities"

The Republicans discouraged voter participation in the minority communities????????? Oh yeah, I know what you mean.It was a huge conspiracy from the republican party to discourage and prevent the african american community to vote. What they did was they physically went down to every voting district, stood there, and when any african american passed by they held them against their will, refused to let them vote and even went so far as to somehow get into the voting booth and change their vote for them (for the ones who got by). I can certainly believe that one.

The bottom line is that ITS OVER. The country wants to move on and stop listening to these whining Democrats recount and recount until they get a result they want. The election was close, but PLEASE stop talking about DISCRIMINATION against minorities. The reality is that before this election I was understanding and respecting both candidates to the point where I wasn't sure who I was going to vote for. But now that the election is finished. MOVE ON!
