Palm Beach Post Edit: When spinning stops, ballots are illegal Republicans with a conscience know there is a problem in Seminole and Martin counties. They might not admit it in public, but it's gnawing at them. This isn't murky, like the disputes over how much a chad has to be punched to show voter intent. Republicans broke the law when they altered absentee ballot applications in Seminole and Martin counties. Privately, even GOP partisans know George W. Bush's lawyers are blowing smoke when they say the infractions are just technicalities. Those ballots -- enough to cost Mr. Bush Florida if they're thrown out -- are illegal. Which means George W. Bush deserves to lose Florida. Which means Al Gore deserves to win the presidency. gopbi.com Like I said, these ballots are getting tossed.
