Well, at least the retail customers will not have to worry about this potential problem. I just checked out the local BestBuy. Not a single 1GHz Intel cPU in sight. Compaq, HP and Micron are all advertising 1GHz AMD Athlon's. A few months ago, HP had some 1GHz Intel P-III's, I have not seen any more since. HP then shifted to the 1Ghz Athlon's. I guess the floodgates have yet to open. TG
