Mike: Another alternative to spinning off Spinco in the public markets is to make a direct sale of the shares to TXN. Yet another alternative is to simply have an agreement to jointly develop products. Considering the five-year cross-licensing agreement, my guess is that the last alternative is most likely in the form of an expansion of the cross-licensing agreement.

Each and every 'divestiture' by Qualcomm has been met with those that maintained that the Q would never leave the particular business. They maintained it was a requirement to stay in touch with that industry. Still each time they sold.

I think IJ wants to get out of any and all manufacturing.
