You're kidding yourself. The USSC said the it could not tell whether the FSC had violated the US Constitution and federal law. It told the FSC to clarify its reasons for its decision. It also vacated the FSC decision.
It said that the US Constitution gives authority to state legislature to determine how electors are selected. If the FSC contravened that power, it violated the US Constitution and loses.

Of course, the FSC now knows where the goal posts are. If it can dream up some acceptable, plausible reasons for its decision and do it fast enough, it might still turn this around. But it only has a week to fix its decision, get it back into the USSC, and have the USSC uphold it. If we get to the 11th and matters are not settled, count on the FL legislature choosing the electors. And that means Bush wins.
