FWIW, I just talked to someone at Nasdaq about ECN participation with the SuperSOES system. Effective Day 1 of implementation, there will be NO ECN that will be participating in this new system. In other words, ECN's will still NOT be 'SOESable.' Only one ECN, ARCA, has shown any serious interest in participating in the SuperSOES system. Although they will not be a participating member upon launching of this new system, they may join within the first several months. None of the other ECN's sound the least bit interested. -Eric
