I think that people are hoping that Judge Nikki Clark rules in favor of Gore because she is black, female, and Jeb Bush blocked her appointment to the Florida Court of Appeals.

You, as an attorney, may enjoy the privilege of scoffing at ideas like this but let me tell you that this is what ordinary folk find frightening about the law. It has become random. It depends on which judge you draw and what their politics are or, yes, even their race and sex. There is no unbiased person holding scales with their eyes blindfolded.

I know that a lot of liberals are hoping that their black, female judge will lash out against the Republicans just because she is black and female. The days of prairie justice are preferable to what we have today.
