Well, it's true. Being in the president's seat can become uncomfortable. For Clinton, he had to ride out a sex scandal. For Bush, should he get the seat, he may well have to ride out something far more embarrassing: a) being a president who lost the national popular vote; and, b) being a president who also, when it ultimately becomes known, lost the electoral college vote.

If Bush is really lucky, perhaps the Seminole and Martin County cases will save him from from such an historical embarrassment, an embarrassment far greater than what Clinton went through riding out his sex scandal. Spending three and a half years as an illegitmate president can only mean a horrible fate.

Again, perhaps Bush will get lucky and lose this election. He still has a shot at it.
