Thread,

With the dollar appearing to be topping off, would gold be expected to rise in price as the value of the dollar drops?

If so, would investment in American mining companies yield a greater return than foreign mining companies like those from South Africa, Australia, Canada, etc?
Or do I have that backwards.

The exchange rate is what confuses me.
Which companies would expect to fare well with a falling dollar? Foreign or Domestic?
(I understand that heavily hedged companies would not fare well with a rise in gold price.)

Thanks.
