Thank-you for the Aislin link. It's now in my Favourites and will soon be on my home-page. None of the papers I get feature him, but I've enjoyed his books at the library.
As far as wood being a warmer heat, it sure seems that way. The Commander's peeling his coat and sweating even before the match is struck. There's truth to the saying "Wood warms twice: Once when chopped, again when burned."
The Commander's in Florida right now. He can't stand winter cold and dryness and I can't stand summer heat and humidity. We happy enough with Sept, Oct, Apr, and May, but come Nov, I get excited and he gets irritated. June brings the reverse. I digress too much. I only wanted to say I wish I could've shared the Florida vote counting illustration with him, since I almost blew a gasket when I saw it. Hilarious.
I'll examine the others later. It's time I was sawing logs. (Sleeping, not preparing fuel.)
Cheers, PW.
P.S. Should we be using a new word instead of 'Hilarious', now that Mrs. Clinton will be with us for a few years further. Originally, the word was associated with happiness, amusement, and laughter. If the past is any indication of the future, it'll soon mean the opposite. But again, one 'L' or two, we'll keep them straight. |
