Dave B... I can't offer and help on names and record keeping during that time. At present there are still approximately 1.6 to 2 million Russian Jews in Russia. Hundreds of thousands left Russia when it came apart in 1991. Most emigrated to Israel and the U.S. Some stayed in Russia because that was there home. There is a very recent problem occurring in Russia within the last few weeks. There is a new surge of anti-Semitism raising it's ugly head. While Putin is speaking words of help and protection to the Jews he appears to be looking the other way. I mention this for those that may not be aware of this situation. From what I can tell this news has not been widely publicized.
