rick, i'm sure you know that i wasn't typing it out. it was copy and paste using netscape's 'edit page' feature in the file menu. whenever a site proves difficult to c&p i use the edit feature and that allows me to c&p all i want. regarding the different crucial chips, i can tell you that your primary concern is to identify what you have in your dell box now. i called dell and also followed the excellent tutorials found at the crucial site. as you know, there are so many varieties of mem out there, it takes some caution and care when ordering. i'd call dell with your service tag number, and you can also email crucial. they respond within one day to inquiries. hope this helps :) mark
