The decision was vacated because it didn't articulate a sufficient reason. The USSC did not preclude the possibility that a better argument could be adduced, but it also did not suspend action until the FSC could come up with another decision. The whole decision was vacated.

Additionally, let us note that the estimable Judge Saul has agreed that there was no compelling reason for hand counts, and the situation is looking bad.

Maybe the absentee ballot suits will come through. I doubt it, though. At worst, there will be penalties against the party workers, they will not throw out otherwise good votes. But I could be wrong, we'll see.

In any event, the order to vacate is a major embarrassment for the FSC, and it will be much more careful in the future.........
