No wonder Irwin reads the thread from time to time. Such fiction is good reading..... Look, TI bought Dot wireless which had been designing CDMA based chips. TI just got a lic for those chips that dot wireless did not have. So QCOM now gets a royalty from their competitors. No ulterior motive, guys. HDR stands on it's own. QCOM has it's own DSP cores from 1993 and has been using them since then without any need for TI. They designed them when NOBODY in the market at the time would support QCOM with any help. I would suggest that they used the patnet exchange to gain access to GSM related IPR.
