Datalink Breaks Ground On New Corporate Headquarters Facility Designed to Support Growth and Enhance Delivery of Services MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 5, 2000-- Datalink Corporation (Nasdaq:DTLK - news), announced today the start of construction for its new corporate headquarters. Datalink's 100,000 square foot facility will be located on a 14-acre parcel of land located in the Chanhassen Lakes Business Park, in Chanhassen, Minn., a Minneapolis suburb. Datalink plans to relocate to the new facility in March of 2001.
As independent storage system architects, Datalink designs, builds, and supports information storage infrastructures that use best-of-breed hardware and software technologies. The company's current headquarters is located in Edina, Minn.
The new two-story complex will accommodate Datalink's growth and evolution as a technical services organization. The facility will feature advanced and expanded architectural design and test laboratories that will enhance the company's client-oriented training, demonstration, certification, and proof-of-concept technical services offerings.
``As Datalink has grown, our existing location no longer meets our current and future requirements, in terms of office space and parking, as well as the physical design limitations of the building itself,'' says Michael Jaeb, Vice President of Operations and Administration, Datalink. ``Our new headquarters is designed with three important groups in mind - our clients, our partners, and our employees. Attracting and retaining top personnel and clients is key to our business. Providing employees with advanced resources and facilities removes roadblocks to exceptional performance and service. Ultimately, our new facility positions us to better meet the needs of these key groups while enhancing satisfaction and continuing to grow our business.''
The build-to-suit project for Datalink is being co-developed by Steve Hoyt and Gary Lally of Hoyt Properties. Westin Construction Co. is the general contractor and RSP Architects is the designer for the project. |
