Wit SoundView believes that the long discussed move to bypass SONET infrastructure may be in the early stages of impacting vendor selections. Expects transition to favor CIEN, CSCO, JNPR, SCMR. Seen on the wrong end of the shift are LU, NT and other similar companies....CIEN remains firm's top pick overall.
