HOLLYWOOD, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 29, 1997--LifeIndustries Inc. (NASD BB:LFEI) announced Thursday the appointment of a new President, Marc L. Baker, CPA.
Baker comes to Life Industries with strong qualifications to
guide the company through the final stages of its restructuring and
to assist the board of directors in its search for a strategic
business acquisition.
Baker, 37, is a 1988 graduate of Florida Atlantic University
where he received his B.A. in Accounting. From 1988-1996 he worked as a staff accountant for Arthur Young International, as a
controller for a clothing manufacturer and as a staff accountant for
a regional CPA firm. He received his CPA license from the state of
Florida in 1993.
In 1996 Baker formed an investment banking firm, D.C. Capital
Inc., in partnership with other professionals. Although the firm has
been operating for less than two years, it has already raised more
than $10 million for its clients.
The company's common stock is traded on the NASD Electronic
Bulletin Board. Its ticker symbol is "LFEI." The company is now in
the process of completing a financial restructuring leading to the
expected acquisition of a new business.
