Greenspan handed the market another reason to rally: he cautioned banks not to swing too far by excess tightening etc. He sent a clear signal that the FED will shift to a neutral or lowering bias and may lower rates by the first quarter. Once again ANALysts are a day late and a dollar short (it's not their dollar so it doesn't matter - they get their six figure salaries and bonuses if they screw you or not).

The only remaining drag on the market will be lowering earnings and sales results and forecasts. This will not turn around instantly but the fear that is factored into stock prices is very likely to lessen going forward, regardless of how far ANALysts are behind the curve.
