Case Sees Time Warner Deal Closing Soon NEW YORK (Reuters) - America Online Inc.'s (NYSE:AOL - news) chief said on Tuesday he expects the company's pending acquisition of Time Warner Inc. (NYSE:TWX - news) to close by the end of December or ``by the first days of the new year.'' AOL Chief Executive Officer Steve Case said: ``We're in the home stretch, and we think it will be approved soon. We're in the last stages with the FTC (Federal Trade Commission).'' ``I am certain that the new company will be running before the president is inaugurated,'' Case said in remarks at the UBS Warburg Media Conference in New York. The next U.S. president is expected to be inaugurated on Jan. 20.
