It's amazing, considering what was done to Bork in his ultimately unsuccessful confirmation hearings, that he remains so balanced and wise. I read his book, "Slouching Toward Gomorrah" last summer and was enlightened.

One more wise man kept out of public life by the polarizing forces of the Democrat party. It's Gresham's law for politics, the bad pols drive the good people out.
