What a bump. What a chance for the pros to make a killing on all the people who think that the downward spiral is over, and who are buying.
All other things aside, the patent is interesting, but non defensable, IMHO.
Voice with personality will be hard to defend I believe.
I can hear it now, XYZ corp, "that voice has no personality.."
GMGC, "yes it does."
XYZ Corp, "No, that is an accent, not a personality. Really, the geek that wrote the code has no personality, but he does have an unusual way of speaking to us and it sounds like him."
I'm not really dissing it, though. It shows that we are in the lead.
